to be fair, a lot of what he's saying isn't that bad.
i suppose we'll see what happens either way.

it's easy to forget that a lot of the crap he's bringing up is from Obama's 8 years with him as VP.

proof is in the pudding, we're not even at the main course yet.

arrgh im not a fan of crowder..
he does a bit too much pure trolling for my liking. he does have good points, but he's still a bit of a dick.

he kinda reminds me of that radio guy.. is it howard stern? the one that would have the porn stars and stuff on?
it all just seems a bit... un-necessary to me.

edge-lords innit ;P

He's just a comedian. I think there's a difference between baiting to make a point and trolling which generally has no point. Howard Stern was never funny imo but he was something that needed to happen. Like a Lenny Bruce or George Carlin. I likes muh speech!

Also I value genuine conversation and debate. Stern wasn't funny but he did that. Maybe that's why I come at people hard when it doesn't look like they're not taking an issue from both sides. I expect my 'mericans to value dem dere rights.

I love satire. But removing face to face interaction from the vast majority of communication, which is why google/youtube NEEDS to be put under some kind of common carrier law, everyone has been left to infer their own tone via instant messaging. I'm just as guilty of that as anyone. Especially when drinking.

Tldr; context matters; debate matters; being passionate about something is good; I want good debate. At the end of the day that's what leaves us all friends no matter what we believe.

thinking about it, i know why i dont like crowder...

you know how his segment is called "change my mind"?

well he means this literally, as in like, come and try to change my mind.
now that is actually a great thing, because you shouldn't be arguing with eachother, you should be explaining to eachother. i dont like the point - counter-point bs, it's not productive.
i would rather explore each point as it comes up. the problem is they just keep throwing shit at eachother to muddy the waters.

see i think he should be trying to change their mind as well.
so what he should actually be trying to do, is not block all the attacks they come at him, and hit back with his own points, rather try to get his point across in a non-offensive way <-- and that's the opposite of what he does.

i might be wrong about him like, i've not seen loads of him, but what i saw was more interesting for the people that he would meet than him himself. i actually expected a lot more from him after watching other people on the whole alt-media circuit. some of them are really good, like jordan peterson is such a wise person, with such a good heart. carl sargon benj, has actually got way way better in the last couple of years, could see he was a smart guy, but in a bit of a militant phase, he's read a lot more and chilled out now. tim pool is a great journalist, but my god is he getting militant from all the crap he's uncovering.. the problem is he does what others refuse to do, but it's really having a harsh effect on him. that baldy molunyux or however you spell it, never liked him, or lauren suthern - tbh... yeah, they actually are kinda racist. jeremy on the quartering is probably my fav these days, just cos he actually covers entertainment and not just political bs. pjw i actually quite like just for the pure sarky pessimism of it lol. like his video of the right being the new counter-culture is bang on, and hilarious; but like, you know how when you have these social groups like goths etc, and there's always that 1 that takes it a bit too far? he'd be the punk tellin you about them spraying the ozone and stuff.

not a lot of hope around really is there... lookin over em, they're all kinda grumpy buggers. i kinda like that tho i guess, i hate shit like glee.. cant even watch ones like community cos they're too chirpy.

the lefty ones are just unbearable, tyt.. that guy with the soy face... i dont watch many of them tbh, my brain cant handle them, it's just like too much wrong at too high of a pace to process lol
like ya cant just go fuckin with what words mean. that's like.. omg, you cant even think straight. words are ancient things.. they originate from different concepts being put together, and like.. if you understand words, you understand the world a lot better. they're not wrong that it's a construct of latin-rome, and it's not an objective truth, but come on man, dont expect me to build 100 different understandings of reality when they're all on about the same thing basically, and you can just build 1 that's really good.
tbh.. it's a brutal thing to say, but i think it's the result of educating people that dont have the capacity for it, and it just kinda confuses the shit outa them. like you're better off riding a fully working bike than knackard car. i think that's what religion is, the fully working bike. now all these fuckers hauling around knackard cars and cant think. why? cos car-salesmen.
religion's not wrong, i'll tell ya that. it's just not literal. i'll even go as far as to say that anyone that is an ardent aetheist, has completely missed the point. religion is kind of beautiful from a certain perspective, not because it's super-natural, but because it's deeply human. which i suppose actually is 'super'-natural ^_^
.... cells are beautiful things as well, until they start growing out of control...

but i think for a lot of the left, this is actually painfully true:

imagine if someone had wrote something like harry potter in 2000BC, it pretty much woulda spawned a religion

but it's cos it resonates with people innit, they see something greater in it that they recognise. but it'd be a shit story otherwise. those 2 things are actually of closer relation than people realize.
