Kong Vs Godzilla was decent, nothing too epic but it's carrying a lot of weight, so good plan for it, kept it solid.
- pretty much just links the 2, and introduces the hollow earth.
they're still just introducing, establishing, developing, and maintaining characters at the moment.
Redlettermedia guys reckon it's just a standard schlock monster movie, enjoyable, over the top, etc. it is, but i dont think they see the bigger picture that they're building something. like the human characters seem to be in it for no reason - they're just in it to keep them relevent. same with godzilla and kong really, they have their fight but it's not like either of them die or anything final like that. that will happen i think, but in like 10 movies time. i reckon it'll be like the Marvel Extended Universe, and we'll get loads of films about different shit going on in the hollow earth and with massive kaiju before we get anywhere near main characters dying and stuff.
next film i hope there's a monarch base in the hollow earth :3

Mortal kombat was a fun movie but if you're a fan of the game you might get frustrated. No Johnny cage and he was replaced with a dull cultural stand in. Huge focus of the movie too. A few other questionable choices too but fun overall.

I like the idea of a monster-verse type thing with godzilla. Hollow earth is far fetched but fun. Better than monster island lol. Just need to keep em simple so I can skip the bad ones.

wasn't it you that told me to watch that godzilla anime in the first place?

planets are like eggs in that, that sorta hatch massive monsters, pretty epic storyline, much bigger than just monsters duking it out.

Don't believe I ever recommended a godzilla anime. But I can see something like that being over the top enough to be fun.
