Invalid Red Books

I am unable to turn in my red books that I found lying on the ground...

I just wanted them kept safe and sound in the library...
The library currently accepts my tan books, but not the red ones.

Demise: Library collection npc's do not accept red books fresh from the provisioner or that have had poison spilled on them..
