Is it because my UO is patched? Me and several people are lagging there and can barely move. Something is wrong with it.

I think he meant a patched up unmodded EA client. A lot of people are bitching about it on OSI too. Game slows to 1fps and becomes unplayable after like 5 people and a few fields are on screen, but seems to be just around the dsp island

Yah. It is very discouraging and virtually unplayable. Some people dont experience, and others do so it must be a client version issue.

I cant go anywhere near the alter without dropping all my frames and every action taking 3-6 seconds to register.

Nah I don't have this problem really anywhere else. It's like a black hole for packets.

Yes this is what a lot of people say. It's only some of us. I too am patched and literally can't move during gold shower.

I stopped attacking the champ and started asking Alving to lure it somewhere else, because the game is literally unplayable at this time for me and a lot of other people I've spoken to.

For example when I run in straight line through the bridge I experience lags in the centre, not in the beginning or the end.

I don't know what is the source of this problem, lacking file? Some additional graphic?

I just cleared the area of about 1,500 superfluous movement blockers. Maybe that will help?
