Is faction trick still working?

I'm trying to gain some bushido using faction trick but for the past 40 minutes i haven't gained even 0.1 skill. My skill is set to Rising and I've put almost all of my other skills on soulstones so my total skill is about 190.Is there anything i'm possibly doing wrong or faction trick doesn't work anylonger?
