After you honor, every successful hit in succession your perfection goes up, miss and it goes down, to a maximum i believe of 1000 luck.

at 100 bushido to achieve maximum perfection you need to hit 10 times in a row thus you get a 1000 luck bonus. at 50 bushido you have to hit 20 times in a row to achieve maximum perfection. at 120 bushido I believe you must hit 8 times in a row to achieve maximum perfection.
