Is Doom dead?

I've returned to demise after 10 years (maybe more), and since my characters were deleted (probably from being inactive for so long), i collected some gold, bought gear to cap my resists and headed to doom to try my luck and maybe make enough gold from artys to equip my sampire.. but i found it empty. I remember back then it was frenetic, doom was full of players, and you had to be fast or the boss would be dead before you packed a hit.
I feel kinda lost now.. is there still active dungeons like doom was before? and if not, what dungeons should i aim with my sampire on a budget suit?

I guess it's because a big shard event just ended.
Players haven't move their characters back to doom yet.

Yep thats it. Before the event, there were enough chars in doom to spawn two, sometimes three bosses.
