House Decay

During the weekly server restart, house decay has been turned back on.

If your account is inactive (not logged into a character for 90 days), any house owned by that account will again start the decay process. A house fully decays in about 5 days.

House decay was disabled for the past 90 days due to the unexpected downtime and server revert we experienced in February. We hope that by now all infrequent players will have logged in again, and will not lose their house due to that revert.

House decay stages remain unchanged. These are:
  • Like New - 36 minutes
  • Slightly Worn - 29 hours, 24 minutes
  • Somewhat Worn - 30 hours
  • Fairly Worn - 30 hours
  • Greatly Worn - 24 hours
  • In Danger Of Collapsing - randomized from 4 to 8 hours

Other Changes
  • The Justice virtue now requires the protector to be within 200 tiles of the protected character to receive a bonus scroll drop, as per Publish 57/58 on OSI. (Simply being within the same subsection of the map is no longer enough.) Furthermore, the protector may also not be inside a combat-restricted area (such as inside a dueling arena).

We hope everyone is staying safe, and happy IDOCing!

Some of you may have noticed some idocs that previously were there are no longer there. Don't worry the idoc system isn't broken!

You may remember a while back we perma-banned many accounts for being over the account limit (over 2500 accounts in fact!). Many of these houses contain what we consider to be "ill gotten gains" so we have decided to remove these houses. In the first instance so that anyone who was cheating but has been allowed to return in a limited fashion does not get their stuff back, but also the release of such a huge number or resources/cub stores ect could have a detrimental affect on an already struggling economy.

Sorry for any inconvenience caused.
